London Stadium - No Covid Test - No entry
Pinched from kumb

West Ham United have confirmed that supporters will be required to prove they are free of Covid before being granted access to matches at the London Olympic Stadium this coming season.

Starting with immediate effect, anyone attending matches at the Stratford arena will be required to provide proof they have been vaccinated or taken a test within the preceding two days - else face being refused entry to the ground.

"Continuing to work in line with Premier League protocols and guidance, anyone attending a fixture should be prepared for a check of their Covid status whether that be by displaying proof of full vaccination or a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours prior to kick-off," West Ham said on Monday.

"Supporters should note a Covid certification check could become mandatory as of 1 October, as per an indication from the Government.

"The club encourages supporters to download the NHS app to demonstrate that status, as well as considering their journey to London Stadium, including arriving at least an hour before kick-off."

The NHS app which shows vaccinations is not the same app as the NHS COVID app which is the one that is seemingly pinging half the country

At Wembley in the Summer they just glanced at your phone to make sure you were showing the right screen. It's a cursory thing.

I'm 100% certain they won't be checking ID, as I've said before - they're meant to know who is in the stadium, that's why tickets say 'not transferrable' - but are transferrable if you go down the official route (which doesn't involve reselling, just transferring).

I think the point is that there's no great need to fake anything - most people are vaccinated, others can just do a test. If you come back positive then you've got to be a bit of a cunt to go anyway, so they'll be relying on people to not do that.

i'm jabbed but i don't carry a smartphone cause they do my head in. going to have to start bringing a briefcase to games for all my admin.

Just carry a printed version of your code. Their scanners will read that just as well as one on a phone.

Got my NHS Pass in my Apple Wallet. Can get a printed copy if you ask for one. Get offered free boxes containing tests most times I'm in the West End. Can get free tests from my local chemist. It's not difficult.

Looking forward to the Leicester game. Glad it's not this week, I've been pinged. Stuck at home for 10 days. Might have caught it but fine so far. Tested negative earlier today.

Good soundbite but the reality is if COVID passports become a reality no stadium in the country will have enough staff to hold an event anyway so knicker wetting for no reason ⚒

Norf

Damn right. If you have dealt with the bug naturally and have natural immunity, you shouldn’t get a green pass, you should get a gold pass.

You don’t have to have the jab though norf - do the test route, they’re free

Just ordered a lateral flow test. Here’s the direct link to order one.

Re: London Stadium - No Covid Test - No entry
Pretty ludicrous that I’ve paid for an Antibody test that has concluded that I’m immune and since I’ve never had symptoms means I’m asymptotic. So I can’t go to football without a jab for a illness that I’ve proved I’m immune from
If anybody doesn’t think that’s completely cuntish they must be completely retarded

Superglue a blow-up doll wearing (just) an opposition scarf to the empty seat.

Film them trying to remove it and share the result on you-lube.

A handful at most will want their money bac, always get a lot of noise about these things, but when the push comes to shove they usually shut up and get on with it. I would expect the club to refund in the circumstances.

FWIW went to a full Trent Bridge on Saturday and no requirement to show any ID upon entry never mind COVID status.

Re: London Stadium - No Covid Test - No entry
I wonder how many people might demand a refund on their season ticket if they don't wish to get vaccinated or go through the testing rigmarole.

I expect there's something sneaky in the T&Cs that excludes them from being granted a refund under those circumstances

Leaving it empty out of spite is exactly what they would do. If they can't profit why should you even use it to gift someone a ticket?

They should be shelling out to BERKS Inc the £50+ matchday prices.
